Joann firmly believes in building on her client’s unique vision for a space. Her priority as a design consultant is to refine those visions and facilitate their fruition as functional, livable spaces that perfectly reflect individual taste and personality. Unlike other consultants who specialize in one style or aesthetic, Joann creates spaces are completely unique to each client. Rather than employing a design “formula,” Joann listens to her clients to determine what works for their lifestyles. Born in Syracuse, New York, Joann grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended the University of Tampa and subsequently taught elementary school for several years. A mother, inventor, and visionary, Joann decided to pursue a career that brought together her enthusiasm for design and love for forging personal connections. From the inception of JoKo Designs, Inc, Joann has worked to create innovative and practical designs.

Since she began, Joann’s enterprise has evolved from merely moving furniture to encompass projects of much greater magnitude. Joann specializes in full-scale renovation and additions, new construction projects, space planning, and furniture selection. From envisioning the architectural plans to adding impeccable finishing touches, Joann carries every project through from beginning to end.

As the scale of her projects has increased, so has her geographical scope: Joann has completed projects nationally, as far away as Pennsylvania and Colorado. She has also incorporated international travel into her design consultancy services, even going to Bali and the Bahamas in search of exceptional, exotic pieces to suit clients perfectly.
